Packaging printing is the general term for printing various graphics and texts on packaging materials and containers to meet packaging requirements. Due to the diverse color and pattern requirements for packaging decoration, packaging printing utilizes a variety of printing processes and post-press processing technologies, including letterpress, offset, gravure, flexographic, and silk-screen printing.
In addition to being components of the finished product, the printing process also produces waste gases, liquids, and solids after their use, polluting the environment and harming human health. To address these wastes, it is necessary to reduce the environmental impact of various chemicals at the source or during the production process. This means striving to develop green packaging printing. This development requires environmentally friendly practices throughout the entire life cycle of packaging printing, from the selection of packaging printing materials, pre-press, printing, and post-press processing, to the use and recycling of packaging printing products.
