The economy of the 21st century is an ecological economy. Faced with increasingly severe resource and environmental constraints, my country's 2007 Government Work Report clearly stated: "Energy conservation, environmental protection, and intensive land use should be the breakthrough points for transforming the economic growth model," "Develop a circular economy and accelerate the construction of a conservation-oriented society," and "Sustainable development can only be achieved by pursuing a circular economy based on the most efficient use of resources and environmental protection." Energy conservation, emission reduction, and sustainable development have become issues of great concern to all sectors of society. Energy conservation and emission reduction not only carry the burden of environmental protection but also the future of sustainable economic and social development and scientific development. Technological progress, energy reduction, and efficiency improvement are the core of promoting systematic energy conservation and achieving intensive management. They are also the fundamental content of energy conservation and material conservation efforts in enterprises under the current market economy. Environmental pollution caused by industrial development directly affects people's quality of life. Therefore, the various pollution and heat emissions generated during the production process of the packaging and printing industry, as well as energy conservation, are issues that all of society, especially industry enterprises, should pay attention to and address.
With the increasingly fragile ecosystems in which humans live, environmental quality deteriorating, and resources becoming increasingly scarce, we can no longer rely on traditional development models in terms of both resource reserves and environmental carrying capacity. If the packaging and printing industry continues to follow the traditional path of economic development, it will only slow down my country's modernization process and hinder the healthy and sustainable development of the packaging and printing industry. Therefore, it is imperative to carry out energy conservation and emission reduction efforts in packaging and printing enterprises.
